Euphorbia multifolia

This lovely plant can be found in several locations across parts of South Africa, one of the best habitats that I have visited over the years is quite near the Victorian town of Matiesfontein. The plants can be found growing on the crest of a small hill where they form fairly large clumping bushes.

The plants look really spectacular in their natural environment and when the sunlight bounces of them they can almost seem to be glowing. In cultivation the plant is quite easy to grow and there have in the past been many seedling plants available. The header picture is of a plant in my collection. Below is some pictures of the plant in habitat and also of a large plant that I bedded out in the greenhouse a few years back, it has grown quite large as you can see. This is a very worthwhile plant to cultivate and it is should be still possible to get seedling plants.
